9 Cambridge Road- Harrogate - Summer 2017

In 2017 Adam decided to hold an exhibition for some of the artwork he had been creating as well as put on a performance night. What happened next was a natural development of a space that was open for artists to come and thrive, develop, engage and create in. The filming starts 3 weeks into having the space (we were only meant to have 2 weeks) and talks to the people who used it and why they felt it was necessary. We do not own the music. The space itself was part of East St Arts, a Leeds based arts charity, check them out. This happened at the same time that The Hermit persona was fully adopted.

Armley- 2018

In 2018 we took over a disused bank. This became a larger hub for a multitude of creative practices. Undernearth you can see a small glimpse into the worlds that were created by the many visiters, collaborators, artists and members of the public. The art on display varied from young people aged 4 to established artists over the age of 80 with many ages in between. Much like the process in Harrogate it was a free flowing space with allowed for creativity to endure, making sure to embed a safe and nuturing space for all those who were open to explore it. We hosted an array of performances from nationally recognised names to first timers who wanted to test out ideas as well as our own Hermit & Acolyte review show which explored the notions and ideas that were tickling and weaving around our brains at the time.
